The Anthropen/ WCAA Multilingual Lab seeks to contribute to key contemporary debates in anthropology by bringing attention both to emerging concepts and to stimulating re-readings of classical notions within the broad field of the sciences of culture.
Le laboratoire multilingue d’Anthropen et du WCAA cherche à contribuer aux principaux débats contemporains en anthropologie en attirant l’attention à la fois sur des concepts émergents et sur des relectures stimulantes de notions classiques dans le vaste domaine des sciences de la culture.
Résumé
L’idée d’un webinaire sur le genre et la sexualité est de contribuer à la diversité des anthropologies dans le monde en confrontant les généalogies intellectuelles dans différents pays et différentes traditions anthropologiques, autour des concepts clés du genre et des sexualités. Pour défier l’hégémonie anglophone du champ académique, nous expérimenterons des modes de production de connaissances multilingues. Abstract
The idea of the Gender and Sexuality webinar is to contribute to the diversity of anthropologies in the world by confronting intellectual genealogies in different countries and different anthropological traditions around the key concepts of gender and sexualities. To challenge the English-speaking hegemony of the academic field, we will experiment with multilingual modes of knowledge production. The webinar is free but requires registration at the link below.
